Abusive behaviour by family

I come across this often in my practise. Clients who take emotional and verbal abuse from their family members only because they’re family. They support the pain and struggles of their loved ones and in turn they’re subjected to one or more of the following. If some of these are happening to you then please evaluate the situation carefully.
Just because you’re empathetic and loving doesn’t give anyone the right to trample on your feelings.

✖️Being taken for granted
✖️Name calling like whore, bitch, impotent to name a few
✖️Disrespecting you
✖️Showing themselves as superior to you
✖️Making you feel unworthy
✖️Making you feel dumb or unknowledgeable
✖️Pointing out your faults all the time while not recognising their own limitations
✖️Manipulating you into helping them
✖️Not seeking professional help and instead making you a punching bag
✖️Dumping all their feelings on you all the time
✖️Frequently disregarding what you say and interrupting while you speak
✖️Showing codependent behaviours pattens
✖️Poking you to make you angry and then sulking when you react
✖️Thinking that your life is wonderful while they’re the victims of their circumstances and hence you won’t understand their issues
✖️Thinking their problems are greater than yours so you should shut up and only listen
✖️Not being open to hearing about your pain and struggles
✖️Making you feel guilty for not doing enough
Etc
