Are positive affirmations enough?

Positive Affirmations do work but they take a lot of time. They need to be repeated daily to have an impact. I prefer EFT and similar approaches where we release the negative first and then work on positive affirmations.
Example – If you have an upper back pain then it ‘could be’ due to lack of emotional support etc. In EFT, we find events from past that indicate lack of emotional support, and release those incidents and then only the back pain or whatever is manifested physically gets released.
So positive affirmations work better when combined with techniques that release negative emotions first. Otherwise it’s simply covering the wound, without cleaning it with antiseptic first.
The antiseptic will burn but will bring about faster healing.
Negative emotions are like that – they burn when you bring them to the surface but after that they become easier to release.

Also EFT affirmations are repeated while tapping on the acu-points that helps in reducing the stress response. Read more about how EFT works here.
