Nothing is better than Nonsense – A short Message.

I know the title  reads this way – ‘Nonsense is the best’. But that is not what it means.

There is a popular saying – ‘Something is better than Nothing.’

And we all know what that means.

But have you thought of this –

Having NOTHING is any day better than having something that is NONSENSE (Abusive)  in your life.

Dictionary meaning of Nonsense is – Matter of little or no importance or usefulness.

Dictionary meaning of Abuse is – To dishonor, To violate, To Deceive,  physical ill treatment, misuse of natural rights.

In effect abuse in the relationship renders the relationship as Nonsense, as having no worth , value or importance.

Having no relationship is better than being in a ‘nonsense’ relationship with a person who repeatedly cheats and hurts you.

Having no relationship is better than being in a ‘nonsense’  relationship with a person who takes advantage of your love.

Having no marriage is better than being in one with a spouse who emotionally abuses you.

Having no marriage is better than being in one with a spouse who physically abuses you.

Many a times you stay in a relationship despite getting abused because you feel it’s safer to be beaten up or be emotionally abused in a “known” relationship than go for a new relationship that is “unknown” and therefore unsafe. The fear of the unknown prevents you from making a choice. Therefore you stay stuck with the saying that something, even though it is abusive and hence nonsense, is better than Nothing.

If you have tried and tried and cannot turn your abusive spouse into a loving one then it’s time to move on. If you are repeatedly demeaned, deceived,  disrespected by your boy friend or girl friend then it’s time to quit the relationship and not opt for marriage.

So I would say – Having No relationship is better than having a ‘nonsense – abusive’ relationship.

This is a short message to all those people who decide to stay in abusive relationships.  It’s time to change that.  It’s time to Break Free!
